What You Can Hunt

Whitetail Deer

Our property sits in Michigan's deer management unit for the Upper Peninsula. Firearm season runs November 15–30 — our busiest two weeks of the year, and we book up a year in advance. Archery opens October 1. Youth and muzzleloader seasons also honored.

Black Bear

Bear are plentiful in our area. Season runs mid-September through October (first-choice tag required by Michigan DNR lottery). Baiting legal in Michigan — we can suggest local baiters or you can run your own.

Grouse & Woodcock

The timberdoodle (American woodcock) is our namesake. Grouse season opens September 15, woodcock a few days later. Dog-friendly: bring your pointer and we'll show you the covers.

Wild Turkey

Spring season April–May; fall season September–November. Our hardwood ridges hold strong resident flocks.

"Took the biggest buck of my life here. Property is incredibly managed, every stand I sat was clearly thought out, and the camp food was better than at home." — Mark D., Milwaukee WI
